So since my last post:
- In chicken news; I've built 1 brooder boxes and modified another. And built a run just for the brooder boxes. We've hatched chicks the natural way and experienced the highs and lows of doing this. In the process, I've added a two new breeds to my flock, and unintentionally raised mixed breed hens. Sadly, I have lost all of my beautiful and gentle Silkies (for reasons unknown). And we've said goodbye to a four roosters (one went off to live a happy life, the others to the pot). I've also extended the run attached to the main coop for reasons that I will explain when I get to that topic/post! Finally, with the addition of new chickens there has been a change in dynamics in the coop that, unfortunately, has created a few problems some unfortunate hens and me.
- On the cake front; I got to make a Rainbows & Unicorns inspired birthday cake for my daughter who turned six recently. You can see it here.
So now I'm going to slowly but steadily get back to updating this blog and website. As I update things, I'll leave a little update on the blog and link it to the relevant page.
